The Science Fiction "Space"-series

Johns started in 1954 a series of books on a subject very popular in those days: science fiction and space travel. He asked his brother Russell (whom he used to call Bing or Bingle) to supply him with technical background information. Russell co-authored these stories and even was paid for this.

The main characters, "Tiger" Clinton, his son Rex and Professor Brane experienced on different planets fantastic adventures with alien life forms, first in our solar system and later on much deeper in space. In 1963 part 10 was publisbed, which turned out to become W.E. Johns' last non-Biggles book.
