attractive website (unfortunately only in Czech), showing book covers too.
The website of the agent in France of Miklo SA,
Bruxelles, publishers of the Biggles comic series.
Le Lombard, established in Brussels - Belgium, is now the publisher
of the "Biggles" comic series and the "Biggles vertelt over..." series (starting January 2003).
The W.E. Johns Appreciation Society, a group of people meeting twice a year
in England (see I.B.A. meetings too),
have their own
website and magazine "Biggles Flies Again" published twice a year.
From about 1947 to 1953 Captain W.E. Johns lived at Pitchroy Lodge, a house on the estate of
Ballindalloch Castle,
where he wrote a lot and where he could pursue other major hobbies, like salmon fishing. He also situated many stories in the vicinity, like his Space series and the book Where the golden eagle soars. Nowadays, the Lodge is put up for week rents. The castle, home of the family Macpherson-Grant, is a well-known tourist attraction.
The Dutch Belgian assiciation War Birds have an excellent website with information,
photographns and pictures about military aviation and planes. Mostly in Dutch.
